Timothy E. Smith

Timothy Edward "Timmy" Smith, 46, of Norwich, passed away on Tuesday, June, 20, 2023.

Timmy (AKA Round Man) was born in Johnson City, NY to Nora Smith on September 16, 1976. Round Man is survived by his sister, Fawn Smith-Ketchum (Clifton III) and two nieces, Destiny Thorpe and Nora Smith-Ketchum, both of Norwich. Also surviving are many “Festival Family” members, friends, aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was predeceased by his mother, Nora Smith, and aunt Donna Wilson.

Round Man spent his life promoting the local music festivals, Timmy made it a point to attend festivals both near and far, often with his “festival family” The Good Rats. Round Man would hear the bands play and then come home and promote the local band’s music. Those who knew Round Man will remember his friendliness and sense of humor and his ability to create a welcoming and friendly face at all times. Timmy also loved spending time at these festivals dancing, and or drumming with strangers or friends alike. He always took the time to enjoy all of life's moments. Most of all, Round Man loved his family and the time spent with them. His family and friends knew that they were welcome to stop by and share moments with him.

Family and friends of Round Man are invited to celebrate his life and tree planting at 789 County Rd 19, Norwich at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday, July 20, 2023. Food and such will be passed around. Please bring a story to share.
