For 63 years and three months, the family and friends of Teri Lynn Webb-Van Almen were given a gift; for her parents, Shirley (Truesdell) and Robert “Bob” Webb, this gift was a second daughter and the ultimate test of their patience. For her nieces and nephews (Heidi, Mark, Sean, Tiffany, and Taylor), she was like a second mother who let you stay up late to watch SNL and eat junk food. For her friends, she was an additional family member and sometimes an airtight alibi.
Teri was born on November 4, 1958. This made her a Scorpio – a fact that she was proud of. Scorpios are a “fire” sign, and Teri always brought the heat (to our knowledge, she never literally set fires). Her “fire” showed up in many ways. She was assertive, full of imagination, and stubborn. Similar to Julia Roberts in “Erin Brockovich” – where there’s a will, there’s a way. When she began to wear shoes, she put them on the wrong feet. This was her way of questioning the status quo and challenging the things that were expected of her.
In her free time, she enjoyed putting her intelligence and wit to good use by debating life’s most crucial topics. Her most famous debate was Teri v. Shirley: who did what in that place that one time. The family still laughs about it. She loved spending time with her closest friends – Cheryl, Kathy, Roberta, Yvonne, Denise, JoAnne, and Terri (The Oxford Girls), and enjoyed long nights filled with laughs and random adventures (those air tight alibis came in handy). Teri was a unique soul, who was loved by all who knew her. While she was taken before her time, the stories of her life will allow her memory to live on. She forth right and very dependable and expect nothing in return.
Teri is survived by her loving parents, Bob and Shirley Webb; siblings, Cheryl Webb and Robert Webb II (Heather); nieces and nephews, Heidi (Jonathan) Brou, Mark Bockes, Sean (Brianne) Braley, Tiffany (Nicole) Brec, and Taylor (Deepak) Tambe; several great nieces and nephew; and many cousins. She was predeceased by her brothers, Jonathan and Glenn, and her grandparents.
