Stanley W. Meyer

Stanley W. Meyer, 67, of Beaver Meadow, NY passed away at his residence on Tuesday, June 21, 2022 with his loving family by his side.

Born on February 18, 1955, in Norwich, Stanley was the son of Albert and Laureen (Button) Meyer. Stanley was a truck driver for over 45 years having worked for Victory Markets, in Norwich; AWI Trucking, of PA; and Black Horse Carriers, of Tully. He retired from Black Horse Carriers. Stanley had many hobbies, including farming, hunting, fishing, camping, bowling, and watching tractor pulls and NASCAR races. He also served as a volunteer fireman for the Preston Fire Department.

Stanley is survived by his wife, Linda (Bush) Meyer; son, Stanley (Tammy) Meyer Jr., of Norwich; daughter, April L. Meyer, of CT; grandchildren, Andru Meyer, of SC, and Alivia Meyer, of Binghamton; brother, Raymond (Ann) Meyer, of Roanoke, VA; and sisters, Marilyn (Gary) Marango, of Norwich, Carolyn Powell, of South Plymouth, and Eileen (Gary) Miller, of Norwich. In addition to his parents, Stanley was predeceased by his brothers, Ronald Meyer and Steven Meyer. He also leaves behind his dog, Dexter, and his Irish Dexter cows, which filled his life with much joy.

A private celebration of Stanley’s life will be held at a later date.
