Maryanne Soltis

Maryanne (Rideout) Soltis, 81, formerly of Johnson City, NY, and more recently of Oneonta, NY, died at Bassett Hospital in Cooperstown, NY on Monday, March 31, 2025

Born in Queens, NY, she was a daughter of William and Katherine (Heitmann) Rideout of McDonough, NY. She graduated from Greene Central School in 1961 and moved to New York City where she worked for many years. Maryanne later relocated to Johnson City, NY where she lived until recently.

Maryanne is survived by her beloved daughter, Christina (Morris) Belford, of Greene; brothers, David (Pamela) Rideout, of New Berlin, Peter Rideout, of Portland, OR, and Steven (Norma) Rideout, of Odenville, AL; sister, Paula (Reginald) Stilwell, of Parker, Co; several nieces, nephews, and cousins; and dear friend of many years, Bill Griffith, of Vestal, NY.

She was predeceased by her parents; brother, John Rideout; sister, Kathleen (Rideout) Castle; and brother-in-law, Ralph Castle.

Maryanne was a lifelong Dodgers fan and enjoyed line dancing with friends.

A private burial will occur at Sylvan Lawn Cemetery in Greene, NY at the convenience of the family.

Funeral arrangements were entrusted with the Wilson Funeral Home.
