Marvin H. Eisenberg, of Guilford, passed away peacefully on Sunday, November 18, 2012 at his home.
Born in Albany, NY, on August 1, 1927, Marvin was the son of Julius and Julienne (Weinstein) Eisenberg. His family moved several times before settling in Queens, NY, where Marvin graduated from Forest Hills High School. He operated his own farm on the Bainbridge-Guilford Road for several years before working as a tool maker at Sidney-Bainbridge Welding. He was very proud of his apprenticeship there.
Marvin loved music and enjoyed playing the piano. He also had a great love of animals.
Marvin is survived by several close friends and neighbors, who he loved, including Linda Giordano and her family, also of Guilford. He will be remembered as a good neighbor, willing to do anything for anybody.
A graveside service for Marvin will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 20, 2012 in Mt. Hope Cemetery in Norwich. There will be no calling hours.
Contributions in memory of Marvin may be made to the Jewish Center of Norwich, 72 S. Broad Street, Norwich, NY 13815, the Chenango SPCA, 6160 County Road 32, in Norwich, or Hospice of Chenango County, 21 Hayes Street, also in Norwich.
