Lorraine E. Carey

Lorraine E. Carey, 89, of Norwich, died surrounded by her family at her home on Monday, May 22, 2023.

Born on June 24, 1933, in Mount Vernon, NY, she was the daughter of William and Mary (Kessler) Stephens. She and her husband, John, moved to Norwich in 1976. He predeceased her on June 6, 2016.

Lorraine is survived by her three sons, John, Mark (Diane), and Matthew (Stephanie); daughter-in-law, Deborah Whitman; three grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and one great-great-granddaughter. She was predeceased by her beloved daughter, Laura Carey on March 8, 2020.

A celebration of Lorraine’s life will be held at a future date.
