Lois R. Sheldon

Lois R. Sheldon passed away peacefully on March 28, 2024, at the age of 91. Lois is survived by sons David (Cheryl) and Jeff (Lisa), and four grandchildren Andrew, Victoria, Carey, and Olivia. She was preceded in death by Richard Sheldon, her husband of 67 years.

Lois was born in Syracuse, NY. She was a graduate of Central High School in Syracuse and later pursued a degree in Home Economics at Syracuse University, where she met Richard.

Growing up, Lois enjoyed riding horses, ice skating and reading books. After graduating from high school, she worked in a variety of roles with local companies before becoming a flight attendant for a major airline. Later, after being a full-time mom with two very busy sons, she rejoined the workforce as a teaching assistant for children with special needs and later as a librarian.

While her family was always her primary focus, she enjoyed traveling, gardening, bird watching, quilting, weaving, cross-stitching, and loved a good joke.

The family would like to extend thanks to the healthcare aides both at her home and Valley

View Manor for their help and support, especially these last few weeks. A private celebration of
