George F. Spinella

George F. Spinella, 67, of Norwich, passed away on Sunday, December 12, 2021, at Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born on October 20, 1954, George was the son of Domenico and Caroline (Hendrickson) Spinella. He graduated from Norwich High School with the Class of 1972. George worked at several local companies until moving to Georgia, where he lived for 12 years. There he worked for a cabinet shop until he went to work for the Trane Company. When his health started to fail, he moved back to Norwich to be nearer to his family. George enjoyed gardening and working around the house. He was a member of St. Bartholomew’s Church.

George married Joann M. (Fritts) Spinella on June 24, 1978, who survives. George is also survived by his sons, Anthony Spinella, and his wife, Amberlyn, and Domineco Spinella, and his wife, Cynthia; grandchildren, Hannah Spinella, Cody Warner, Elijah Spinella, Austin Thomas, Micheal Spinella, Joseph Tuttle, and Amber Bruno; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Joseph Spinella, Josephine Windchester, Marie Pittsley, and Howard Hendrickson; and several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. In addition to his parents, George was predeceased by his siblings, Nancy Hannon, Mary Lawton, Phyllis Rifanburg, Angelina Voss, Elizabeth Tab, Dominic Spinella Jr., and Angelo Spinella.

To honor the wishes of George and his family, there will be no funeral service or calling hours. Burial will take place at the convenience of the family.
