Errold T. Butler

Errold T. Butler, 89, of Norwich, died on Wednesday May 22, 2024 at his home with his family by his side.

Born on November 14, 1934, in Nassau, Bahamas, a son of the late Thomas and Albertha (Moss) Butler. He spent his childhood in both the Bahamas and the United States. In his early twenties, Errold permanently moved to Florida. In 1959, Errold married Evelyn and the two would later move to upstate New York. In New York, Errold worked as both a farmer and for Hubbell Galvanizing as a laborer making guard rails for highways. In retirement, both Evelyn and Errold relocated to Georgia before moving to New York in 2018. Errold enjoyed carpentry, farming, gardening, the outdoors, fishing and was an animal lover.

In addition, to his wife, he is survived by his children, Ellery and wife, Cheryl L. Butler, Evelyn, Anthony T. Butler and wife, Tamara S. Butler, Cynthia, Curtis Butler and wife, Lori A. Butler, Lisa A. (Worden) Butler, and Earl L. Butler and wife, Amy J. Butler. His grandchildren include, Kimberly Anthony, Kellieann Smith, Joel M. Butler, Destiny D. Butler, and Tiffany C. Butler, Sierra, Aquila M. Butler, Jasmine L. Butler, Jamaal M. Butler, Tamieka D. Butler, and Michael A. Butler, Brandi, Justin, Jessica, Jake, Bayli N. Butler, Hope V. Butler; Great grandchildren, Theo Anthony, Jarret Anthony, Layla Anthony, and Teyana S. Butler, Mickell Ayuso, Myah Outten, Amari Butler, Ondrell Butler, Zaivon Outten, Isaac Outten, Zalin Engram, Zayden Butler, Zy'Anna Butler, Zy'Mar Butler, Zi'Aviya Woodard, Zi'Aundria Butler, Zane Butler, Xzavier Butler, Treyzell Butler, Ne’vayya Butler, Bryden Butler, Kingstin Butler, Aliyah Abdurrahman, Deavion Wright, and Alayasia Wright; niece, Lynette M. Ferguson; nephews, Mario L. Ferguson and Patrick S. Ferguson; and a host of nieces and nephews in the Bahamas. He was predeceased by his four siblings and one child, Patsy Butler.

Services for Errold will be held at the convenience of the family. Funeral arrangements are entrusted with the Wilson Funeral Home.
