Donna J. Guinn

Donna J. Guinn, 76, a lifelong Norwich resident, died on Wednesday, July 17, 2024 at Crouse Hospital in Syracuse, NY.

Born in Norwich on February 23, 1948, Donna was a daughter of the late Ralph and Jessie (Keplinger) Guinn. She graduated from Norwich High School and spent the next thirty-one years working as an operator for the former Chenango & Unadilla Telephone Corporation. Following her retirement there, she worked for NBT Bank for six years. Donna spent the later part of her years as a home health aide care giver. 

Donna was a lifelong member of the First Baptist Church in Norwich and volunteered for thirty-four years as the Church childcare provider. She had several shih tzu dogs that she adored and was and loved country music fan. 

Donna was predeceased by her siblings, Anna Mae (William) Quincy, Bessie (Marris) Brown, Vernon (Donna) Guinn, William (Charlotte) Guinn, Carl (Shirley) Guinn, and Roy (Phyllis) Guinn. She is survived by her brother, James (Linda) Guinn, of Norwich; sister-in-law’s, Ginny May and Phyllis Guinn; her special niece who cared for Donna, Priscilla Nicotra; and thirty nieces and nephews. 

The family would like to express gratitude to Preston Manor and Crouse Community Center for the care given to Donna in the last few years. 

A graveside service for Donna will be held at Mt. Hope Cemetery, Norwich, on Wednesday, July 24, 2024 at 1:00 p.m.
