Charles K. Neadom

September 19, 1954 — December 13, 2020

Charles K. “Charlie” Neadom, 66, of Norwich, passed away peacefully at his home on Sunday, December 13, 2020 with his loving family by his side.

Born on September 19, 1954, in Fulton, NY, Charlie was the son of the late Charles Neadom and Emily Spicer Neadom. Charlie then lived in Alstead, NH, until 1967 when his family moved to Norwich. After graduating high school with the Norwich High School Class of 1972, Charlie completed some studies at the College of Brockport. Soon thereafter, he enlisted in the U.S. Army and served our nation from 1975-79 before being honorably discharged. Later he worked for many years at Procter & Gamble prior to his retiring as a packaging team leader. After retiring, Charlie worked at the Norwich Walmart and became known as one of their friendliest greeters, and especially for singing Christmas carols during the holidays.

In November 1977, while in the Army, Charlie married the love of his life, Mary (Lorimer) Neadom, who survives. Together they would enjoy 43 years of marriage together,

Charlie was an outdoors enthusiast, and loved hunting and fishing. He also enjoyed the birds that fed from his many bird feeders. He was a talented guitar player and singer, and was particularly fond of the artists, James Taylor and Neil Young. He was very active in sports as a schoolkid, and later liked watching sports, mostly soccer, basketball, and hockey. Charlie was a fan of the New York Giants, and was a proud owner of his Rotweiler, Mogley. What Charlie loved most, however, was his family and his many friends.

In addition to his beloved wife, Charlie is survived by his sons, Joshua and Curtis, both of Norwich; sisters, Ada (Larry) Lorows, Beth (Andy) Curtis, Marilyn (Cliff) Crisp, Amy Weckworth, Mary (Ron) Nevel, Wanda Neadom, and Emily Neadom; brothers, David Lordan, Barry (Nancy) Neadom, and Jeffrey Neadom; sisters-in-law, Elaine (Bob) Burton, Lianne Sprague, and Michelle Lorimer; brother-in-law, Richard (Ginny) Lorimer; as well as several nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, and grand-nephews. Charlie was predeceased by his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Duane and Rose Lorimer, and brothers-in-law, George and Joe Lorimer, and Butch Weckworth.
