Bonnie Lou Rivenburg

Bonnie Lou Rivenburg, 68, a lifelong resident of Norwich, passed away peacefully at her home with family by her side and after a courageous battle against cancer on August 26, 2020.

Born on December 21, 1951, Bonnie was the daughter of Louis and Dorothy (Coler) Maricle. She attended Norwich City Schools and graduated with the Class of 1969. Bonnie very much enjoyed the ever-changing state of technology and, after graduating high school, began as a keypunch operator. Every job Bonnie had thereafter involved technology. Among the jobs she had, she always enjoyed working with her future husband, Larry, at Victory Markets, Great American, and Norwich Beverage. Bonnie retired from Norwich Beverage in 2016.

Bonnie’s greatest joy of all were her husband, children, and grandchildren. She is survived by her husband, Larry; son, Joseph (Amber) Rivenburg and their children, River, Phin, and Fisher; daughter, Kelly (Jason) Lewis, and their children, Logan and Peyton; step-daughters Kim (Mike) Hamilton, and their son, Jake, and Thera Wright and her children, Bella and Zander. In addition to her parents, Bonnie was predeceased by her grandson, Logan.

To honor Bonnie’s wishes, there will be no funeral service or calling hours. Contributions in Bonnie’s memory may be made to Hospice of Chenango County, 33-35 Court St., Norwich, NY 13815.
