Arthur E. Boice

Arthur E. “Art” Boice, 83, of Norwich, died on Friday, October 11, 2024 at UHS Wilson Medical Center.

Born on July 9, 1941, in Edmeston, NY, Art was a son of the late Arthur and Marguerite (Stone) Boice. He grew up in New Berlin and graduated high school in 1960. He furthered his education at SUNY Morrisville where he gained an associate’s degree in agriculture. In 1964, Art entered the United States Air Force. Following his honorable discharge in 1968, he worked for AT&T as a communications technician servicing communication towers. He also managed several rental properties he owned in Norwich. Art enjoyed his time at his Oneida Lake house property where he liked boating and fishing. He also was an avid hunter. 

In 1987, in Norwich, Art married Margaret Cunningham, who survives. He is also survived by his children, Eric (Amber) Boice, of Sherill, NY, Trevor (Millette) Smith, of Voorheesville, NY, and Carrie Smith, of Norwich; grandchildren, Brendan Boice, Alicia Boice, Ryan Boice, Max Smith, and Aase Smith; and siblings, Red (Susan) Boice, of Norwich, and Donna Davenport, of Rochester.
