ALLAN R. DAVIDSON

Allan R. Davidson, 83, of Norwich, died peacefully on Monday, December 12, 2016 at the Norwich Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.

Born January 13, 1933, in Walton, NY, Allan was the son of the late Russell and Anna (Marks) Davidson. He worked for many years as a farmer until 1976. Then he began his carrier with the Raymond Corporation in Greene. Allan worked as a grinder, welder, and later oversaw the “tool crib” for the company until his retirement in 1996.

Allan married the love of his life, Rebecca (Harby) Davidson, and together they shared 61 years of marriage. Both Rebecca and Allan will be remembered as loving parents, grandparents, and great-grandparents who cherished the time they spent with with their family. Rebecca predeceased Allan on June 22, 2014.

Allan is survived by his sons, Mark (Linda) and Mike (Sue) Davidson; daughters, Sharon and Elizabeth Davidson; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren. Many nieces and nephews also survive. Allan was predeceased by sister, Elinor Burhans.

A memorial service for Allan will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 28, 2016, at the Wilson Funeral Home. Rev. Paul Hamilton of the Unadilla Presbyterian Church will officiate. There will be no calling hours. Burial will take place at Riverview Cemetery in Hancock, NY, in the spring.
