Albert Kunzel

Albert S. Kunzel, 72, of Grotsinger Road, passed away on Thursday, February 26, 2015, at the UHS Wilson Medical Center, in Johnson City, after a courageous battle against leukemia.

Born August 19, 1942, in Hackensack, NJ, Albert was the son of George W. and Hertha (Biermann) Kunzel. In 1969, Albert moved to Norwich with his parents. After his father’s death in 1970, and his mother’s death in 1994, Albert was looked after by his loving siblings and other family. More recently, and until Albert’s death, he was cared for by his loving nephew, George.

Albert is survived by brother Walter Kunzel and his wife, Elfrieda, of Denville, NJ, and his sister-in-law, Dorothy Kunzel, of Hilton Head Island, SC. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews, including Albert’s caretaker during his last days, George Kunzel. Albert was predeceased by his brother, George.

A private graveside service for Albert will take place at the George Washington Memorial Park in Paramus, NJ, at the convenience of the family. There will be no calling hours.
