Obituary

Patricia Anne Maiurano (nee Keefe), 91, passed away on Friday, January 3, 2020, in Norwich.

Born on February 3, 1928, in Binghamton, NY, Patricia was the daughter of Paul J. and Anna C. (Fancher) Keefe. Patricia was an accomplished artist with a natural born talent for drawing, painting, and sculpture. Her works were displayed at various venues throughout New York State. She also had a knack to pick four-leaf clovers out of a lawn at will. On July 24, 1948, in Norwich, Patricia married her childhood sweetheart, John James Maiurano. Together they celebrated over 70 years of marriage until John's passing in 2018. Later in life she alluded to deliberately failing the 8th grade to be with John.

Patricia was employed in the Quality Control Department at Norwich Eaton Pharmaceuticals/Procter & Gamble until her retirement in 1991.

Patricia is survived by her loving children; John (Karen) Maiurano, of Gainesville, VA, Sheila (Glenn) Green, of Goshen, CT, Clark (Susan) Maiurano, of Ocala, FL, Deborah (Kevin) Hardwick, or Tonawanda, NY, and Teresa (Timothy) Woodard, of Norwich; grandchildren Jay (Audrey) Maiurano, Tania (Christopher) Woodward, John (Tara) Green, Jennifer Russell, John (Jason Deming) Maiurano, Aubrey (Greg) Hill, Brian Hardwick, Jeremy (Emilie) Hardwick, Matthew Hardwick, Alicia (Paul) Slack, and Jason (Samantha) Woodard; great-grandchildren Alex and Joshua Maiurano, Lex and Logan Green, Juliana Hardwick, Kaile Peete and Max Hill, Ian Harsha, Ariel, Jasmine, Bella and Kellan Woodward, Raphael Mascarell, Hayley and Trenton Slack, and Landon Hardwick; and great-great-grandchild Grayson Hardwick.

A Mass of Christian Burial for Patricia will be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, January 8, 2020, at the Church of St. Paul, where the Rev. Ralph A. Bove, pastor, will officiate. Burial will take place in the spring at Mt. Hope Cemetery. There will be no calling hours.
