Nancy E. Marchetti, 76, formerly of Norwich, passed away on Friday, September 23, 2011, in Bethel Park, PA where she resided. Nancy was the daughter of John and Catherine (Biviano) Messina. She was the beloved wife of the late Cireo Marchetti, who died January 13, 1991.
Nancy was a registered nurse for over 50 years, and was a long-time member of St. Valentine’s Church in Bethel Park, PA. She enjoyed her flower garden, and always brought a smile and laughter to everyone she met.
Nancy is survived by her son, John (Diane) Marchetti, and daughter, Cathy Blough. Grandchildren, Ashley and Kelci; sister, Anna Messina; and several nieces and nephews also survive. Nancy was also predeceased by her sister, Mary Sparace, and brother George.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on September 26th at St. Valentine’s Church in Pennsylvania. Graveside committal services for Nancy will be held in Norwich on Saturday, October 1, 11:00 a.m., at St. Paul’s Cemetery. Rev. Lester Smith, Pastor of St. Malachy’s Church in Sherburne, will officiate.
