Yvonne Y. Murphy, 57, of Classic Street in Sherburne, passed away on Monday, February 08, 2010 at Community Memorial Hospital in Hamilton.
Born November 20, 1952 in Jersey City, NJ, Yvonne was the daughter of Dominic and Ethel (Parente) Campaignio. She was a dress designer and dress maker in New Jersey before moving to Smyrna in 1998.
During her leisure time, Yvonne enjoyed fishing and hunting.
On November 15, 1975, in St. Bridges Church in North Bergen, NJ, Yvonne married Dennis T. Murphy who died in 2001. She is survived by a daughter, Elizabeth in New Jersey, three brothers, Anthony Campaignio, of Sherburne, Frank Campaignio and Albert Campaignio, both of New Jersey and her good friend, Mary Studt, of Earlville.
A Mass of Christian Burial for Yvonne will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 11, 2010 at St. Mary’s Church in Hamilton. Rev. Lester Smith, pastor of St. Malachy’s Church in Sherburne, will officiate. Friends are invited to call at the Wilson Funeral Home in Norwich on Wednesday from 4 – 6 pm. Burial will take place in the spring in St. Malachy’s Cemetery.
