Catherine M. “Kate” Rotundo, 90, of Sharon Drive, passed away courageously on Monday, January 18, 2010 at Chenango Memorial Hospital.Born in Norwich on May 14, 1919, Catherine was the daughter of Joseph and Mary (Favaloro) Paino. She helped the church in many of its functions including the annual Spaghetti Supper and holiday bake sales. For over twenty years she was the person who organized the offertory presenters at weekend masses. Kate was also a member of the Ladies of Charity and volunteered for many other organizations.
Kate’s sweet spirit made her loved by everyone who knew her. During her leisure time she enjoyed golf and bowling as well as ceramics and knitting. Her green thumb filler her house with plants. From croquet to pinochle, Kate was also an enthusiastic game player.
Kate’s greatest joy was her family. On May 11, 1946, in St. Bartholomew’s Church, she married James A. Rotundo, who survives. Kathy, Kurt and your family-
Please accept our wishes for strength through this extremely difficult time. Our hearts are with you but we know that you have the support of your family and that you will share the burden together. We never knew your mother but, if she gave her family the integrity, loving spirit and kindness that you all possess,, she must have been something to treasure.
Please accept my deepest sympathy for the loss of Mrs. Rotundo. She was a wonderful neighbor to my mother and I will always remember her beautiful and friendly smile. You are in my thoughts and prayers.

My dearest Jim, Mary Jane, Jimmy, Jeannie and Kathy,
Please know that my love, thoughts and prayers are with you. I wish I were there to hug you and tell you all my stories about your loving wife and mother. She was like a second mom to me practically my whole life. Things will not be the same without her here on earth with us but we all will see her again. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lead not to thine own understanding…….I love you all and will be home in June. I will be over to see you. Kisses, love and hugs.

Dear Mr. Rotundo and Family,
I was so sorry to read about Mrs. Rotundo’s passing. She was a very special lady. Even though she lived a good life on earth she is in a happier place now, probably with my Mom and Dad. Maybe she will even cross paths with my husband John! Know that you are all in my thoughts and prayers. God bless, Kathy Elia Majewski

Dear Jeannie, I was so sad to hear of your mom’s passing. I always remember her as a loving mom and a woman with a wonderful personality. Going to St. Bart’s church when I am home visiting will never
be the same without seeing your Mom! It has been so many years since I have seen you, Jeanne. I hope somehow we can reconnect. Please send my love and prayers to your father and your family.
God Bless you. Love and prayers, Amy
