Dear Tubbs Family: I knew your mother from working with her at P&G – when she was leaving P&G, she was so excited about her nursing training. I admired her courage and stamina. Please accept my sympathy. Mary Davis

    Amy and Family,

I recently learned of your Mom’s passing. I had no idea. When I would come to Norwich to visit I would often drive by the house on Columbia to see if I could see your Mom outside as I was not sure if she was still living in the area. I never did see her outside so I never stopped. Of course, I wished I had stopped. I remember the first time I met her. It was when you lived on Eaton Avenue. Amy and I were in Kindergarten together and I came home with her one day after school. We picked flowers along the way and gave them to her. When she found out that we picked them from other people’s gardens she gently scolded us about taking them without permission. I never forgot that and remembered it when my own children did something similar. I repeated to them what Mrs. Tubbs had told me all those years ago.
